What sparked your interest in physical therapy?
For as long as I can remember I knew that I wanted to be a medical professional. As a result, during my final years of undergraduate study, I began to volunteer and work in different medical fields. It was not until I began working as a physical therapy aide at a small outpatient office that I knew physical therapy was the profession that I needed to pursue. At this office I worked under the supervision of two physical therapists, who were phenomenal mentors. They taught me the value of physical therapy and they showed me how the profession can positively impact the human experience. Subsequently, ever since I had the opportunity of working under these therapists, I have been infatuated with the field of physical therapy!
What’s the most exciting part of the DPT program?
Aside from having an amazing faculty and cohort, the most exciting part of the DPT program has been partaking in dissection with my cadaver lab group, who have always been there for me both inside and outside of the classroom.
What do you hope to do with your degree?
I truly enjoy helping others, so no matter what setting I work in, or population I work with, I will be glad that my degree in physical therapy will give me the opportunity to help others.
What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy sports, working on cars and motorcycles, reading, traveling and smiling.
