What do I do if I am struggling with my emotional well-being?
- Counseling services are available to all students, free of charge. You can schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss your emotional well-being by calling the Counseling Center at 434.544.8616. The Counseling Center is located on the terrace level of Hundley Hall, along with the Health Center. Your counselor can work with you to address any emotional stressors that are impacting your day-to-day experience on campus.
- International Student Support holds a weekly meeting called Breakfast Connection that includes a member of the Counseling Center staff. Breakfast Connection is a safe, confidential space where you can also address any concerns related to your emotional well-being, which may include the stress of your transition to the United States and any issues that you may be encountering on campus. Information about Breakfast Connection dates and times will be provided to you via email, and may change from semester to semester.
