Lynchburg City Council Candidate Panel

The University of Lynchburg’s Center for Career Engagement Opportunities, or CEO, and the political science department will host a panel discussion with Lynchburg City Council candidates from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The free event will be held in Hall Campus Center’s Memorial Ballroom. The public is invited.

The following Lynchburg City Council candidates will participate: Randy Smith, D-Ward 1; Cameron Howe, I-Ward 1; Jacqueline Timmer, R-Ward 1; April Watson, D-Ward 4; Chris Faraldi, R-Ward 4; Sterling Wilder, D-Ward 2; Taormina “Tori” Howard, I-Ward 2; Rodney Hubbard Sr., R-Ward 2; James Coleman Jr., D-Ward 3; and Curtis “Curt” Diemer, R-Ward 3.

Faraldi and Wilder are incumbents.

The panel discussion will be moderated by local radio, TV, and Facebook personality Andre Whitehead and Dr. David Richards, associate professor of international relations and political science and chair of Lynchburg’s political science department.
