What her professor says:"Lana Hall has been an exemplary student since her arrival at Lynchburg College, excelling in her academic study as well as providing a stellar example of professionalism for her peers. When the call goes out, she is always one of the first to volunteer of her time when a need within the department is identified. I can truly say about Lana that when she takes on any task she always completes it with a smile on her face. Lana is an excellent example of a student deserving of the MFA Student of the Month award - she excels in all areas of her professional education!"

What sparked your interest in physical therapy? I think my interest in physical therapy was fueled by curiosity and compassion. As a biology major at Radford University, my innate curiosity compelled me to study and learn. It was at this point that human anatomy caught my attention. From then on, I was determined to find a profession in which I could study the inner workings of the human body and satisfy my desire to care for those in need. These paths led me to physical therapy, a profession founded upon devotion to patients and dedication to learning.

What's the most exciting part of the DPT program? To put it simply, opportunity. As a student, I feel as though I am being equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in any clinical setting. Being challenged each day by an outstanding faculty and a family of brilliant classmates helps me realize that for all of us, the future is rich with opportunities to impact the lives of others.

What are some of your hobbies? I love to collect and read books, although studying may have put a damper on that recently. However, I still enjoy antiquing, camping, fishing, cooking, and spending time with the wonderful people in my life.

What is your favorite quote? "If you are the kind of person I used to be, you might think that real life means going after what you want and getting it...I figured out that a real life didn't mean attaining my heart's desire, but knowing it, meant not the satisfaction, but the longing. Knowing what you love and why, I found out, is as real as it gets." - Marisa de los Santos

Anything else you would like to share? I have had some of the weirdest nicknames of all time. Lan, Lanny, Anni Poo, Baby Worm, Lana Banana, shortened to Banana, Britches, LB, Boots, and most recently, Lanolin. Yes, like sheep's wool.
