Experience

I have begun my 33rd year as nursing faculty here at LC. I have taught primarily in adult health courses but throughout the years, I have taught in every field noted in the curriculum. During the early years at LC, I directed the RN-BSN program for RNs in the community with diplomas or associate degrees in nursing. I have served on most of the college committees and have been involved with accreditation visits and preparation for the College and the nursing program. I served as dean of the school of Health Sciences and Human Performance for ten years prior to retiring in July 2013. I am currently serving as interim director for the nursing program.

Professional Interests/Research

While semi-retired, I continue to follow healthcare reform and the work needed in our RN to MSN Pathway and MSN programs.

Information on Courses Taught

I'm currently teaching Health Policy and Teaching Strategies in the MSN program.

Personal Info/Interests

When time permits, I enjoy working outdoors with yard work and flowers. I have interests in small-renovation home improvement projects and enjoy making old look new again.
