Director of First-Year Programs
Angelo has served as the Director since 2012. He is responsible for building and fostering collaborative working relationships across campus, advocating for the needs of students in transition, overseeing all programmatic elements involving new students, providing direction and vision for the office, and promoting a positive and inclusive experience for all Hornets. Angelo received his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut. He graduated from Clemson University with a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education with a focus in Student Affairs Administration. He continued his lifelong learning and earned a Master of Business Administration from Lynchburg College. Angelo loves all things Disney thanks to his time as a Cast Member, traveling around the globe, and spending time with family and friends.
Assistant Director of First-Year Programs
Jonathan has served as the Assistant Director since 2013. He is responsible for overseeing transfer, access (adult), second degree, and commuter student services and transition. Jonathan received his BS in Human Development and Learning (emphasis in Elementary Education) in 2007 at Lynchburg College and continued on to receive his MEd in Educational Leadership in 2011 from the home of the Hornets. He is the definition of Hornet bred! In between office hours, you’re likely to catch Jonathan at the gym, watching or talking about superheroes and Star Wars, or spending time with his family and friends.
Graduate Assistant, First-Year Programs
Jasmine is the Graduate Assistant for First-Year Programs. She assists in overseeing transfer, access (adult), second degree, commuter, and first-year student services and transitions. Jasmine received her BA in English (Writing Emphasis) and Political Science in 2016 at Lynchburg College and is currently in the MEd in Educational Leadership program at Lynchburg – once a Hornet always a Hornet! In her free time Jasmine loves to travel, go on outdoor adventures, read, eat good food, and play with her adorable Corgi puppy.
