School Project Coordinator
A native Virginian, Carol graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia with a BA and MA in music. She has since put not only her major but her liberal arts education to good use: working in business management and traveling extensively B.C. (“before children”); rearing four children; running a string instrument business with her husband; and being actively involved in Lynchburg’s music community through the city schools and other organizations, including being a founding member and treasurer of the Lynchburg Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Having grown up in a family that greatly valued education and learning, Carol was happy to return to higher education by joining the Lynchburg College staff. She enjoys being in an atmosphere where she can constantly learn and be challenged – through her job, through contact with students and faculty, through teaching, through attending lectures and cultural events, and through exposure to differing points of view.
Her job at LC also enables her to enjoy her other passions: her family; travel (since her children are currently spread out over the country and even overseas); and the Northern Neck/Rappahannock River region of Virginia.
