IT132 Programming Fundamentals for IT (4): Prerequisites: CS 131 or prior programming experience. Introduces students to the basics of programming. Includes data structures, programming constructs, algorithms and problem-solving, object-oriented and event-driven programming, and recursion.
IT201 System Administration and Maintenance (3): Prerequisites: IT 132 or CS 141. Introduces students to system administration and maintenance as well as platform technologies. Includes operating systems, applications, administrative activities and domains, computer architecture and organization, and computing infrastructures.
IT225 Fundamentals of Human Computer Interaction (3): Prerequisites: IT 132 or CS 141. Introduces students to HCI. Includes human factors, HCI aspects of application domains, human-centered evaluation, developing effective interfaces, accessibility, emerging technologies, human–centered software development.
IT331 Integrative Programming (3): Prerequisites: IT 101, CS 370 and IT 132. Introduces students to integrative programming. Includes intersystem communication, data mapping and exchange, integrative coding, scripting techniques, software security and an overview of programming languages.
IT332 System Integration and Architecture (3): Prerequisites: IT 331. Introduces students to system integration and architecture. Includes requirements analysis, acquisition, sourcing, integration, project management, testing and quality assurance, organizational context and architecture.
IT390 Information Assurance and Security I (3): Prerequisites: CS 370 and CS 385. Introduces students to IAS. Includes fundamental aspects, security mechanism, operational issues, policy, attacks, security domains, forensics, information states, security services, threat analysis and vulnerabilities.
IT391 Information Assurance and Security II (3): Prerequisites: IT 390. Provides a follow-up to IT390. Includes advanced outcomes from IAS.
IT451 IT Capstone (3): Prerequisites: IT 332. IT senior project including project proposal, feasibility studies, intellectual property, teamwork, budgets, schedule management; professional communications (reports and presentations), design implementation, testing.
