Experience
My experience includes teaching chemistry, physics, computer math, and mathematics courses at the high school level as well as courses in a medical assistant program at a local business college. I have also worked in a local hospital laboratory. Presently, I am the Sciences Resource Manager for the School of Sciences. I work closely with the Dean of the School of Sciences. As the Resource Manager, I am responsible for ordering supplies such as chemicals, lab equipment and instructional supplies, maintaining the chemical and equipment inventories, and supervising student assistants. As the chemical hygiene officer, I am responsible for chemical and laboratory safety in the School of Sciences and I also serve as a safety resource for other departments and programs on campus.
A responsibility that I truly enjoy is that of transfer advisor for the School of Sciences. As transfer advisor I am able to work with students who may not be described as traditional students and who have advising issues unlike those traditional students.
