The strength of Lynchburg’s DMSC program is grounded in strategic partnerships.
Lynchburg’s connection with outstanding partners gives students extraordinary access to top-notch health care facilities.
Centra, a regional health care system that serves more than 380,000 people throughout central and southern Virginia, offers Lynchburg DMSc candidates access to four hospitals, a regional cancer center, and the Stroobants Heart Center and Stroobants Cardiovascular Pavilion — ranked in the top 50 cardiovascular care and surgery centers in the U.S.
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California, is home of the Arrowhead Orthopaedic Surgery PA Fellowship Program (OAPAF), the first orthopedic surgery fellowship program to be accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
Our program is also partnered with the Community Access Network, Johnson Health Center, Blue Ridge ENT, Lynchburg Pulmonology Associates, Lynchburg Nephrology, Internal Medicine Associates, and Albemarle Orthopedics.
These important partnerships give DMSc students access to practice in emergency medicine, cardiology, neurosurgery, pediatrics, women’s health, orthopedics, nephrology, otolaryngology, pulmonology, sleep medicine, primary care, and other medical specialties. This makes Lynchburg’s DMSc program unique and gives students an extensive medical education.
“Having highly trained and skilled staff is of utmost importance to our organization, and I know these graduates are receiving the best education possible through Lynchburg’s program.”
President and CEO, Centra
“Arrowhead and Lynchburg share common interests and goals about post-professional doctorates for PAs. Lynchburg’s DMSc utilizes an educational delivery model that aligns with physician training, using clinical residency and fellowships.”
