Dr. Trey Boyd is the Director of Postgraduate Medicine for the DMSc, with primary responsibility for the Practicum Course Series working with professional PAs. He holds a Doctorate of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg and a Master of Science in Medicine for PA Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Boyd previously served as a founding principal faculty member and Director of Clinical Education for the Presbyterian College Physician Assistant Program. He currently contributes as a peer reviewer for both JPAE and JAAPA.
Dr. Boyd is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina and has transplanted to Lynchburg to join the DMSc program. He is the president of the Young Alumni Board at Presbyterian College. Dr. Boyd enjoys mountain life, outdoor concerts, and watching his new son grow alongside his wife, Julie, and Gus the hound dog.
