What sparked your interest in physical therapy?
I knew in high school that I wanted to work in healthcare, and after observing PTs by recommendation of a few people, I realized how connected and impactful they were to their patients, something I knew I would need to be motivated through a long career.
What’s the most exciting part of the DPT program?
Getting to connect the dots on pieces of knowledge we have known for years with direct application to real life patient scenarios.
What do you hope to do with your degree?
I hope to help as many people as possible regain function and have a better quality of life, in any way I can. Athletes, children, refugees, and everyday people all deserve to enjoy life to the fullest, and I cannot wait to help them pursue improved personal health.
What are some of your hobbies?
Rock climbing, watching or playing any sport, video games, and LEGOs
What is your favorite quote?
“Rise and rise again, until lambs become Lions.”
Something unique that you would like to share?
In conjunction with a professor here at the University of Lynchburg, I am designing learning models made of LEGOs for some of our foundational science classes.
