What sparked your interest in physical therapy?
My initial interest in physical therapy was derived from my interest in the how the human body works. That interest grew as I volunteered and then worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic where I saw patients with many different conditions being treated. Seeing the versatility of physical therapy and the happiness it brought so many patients in increasing quality of life inspired my pursuit of physical therapy.
What’s the most exciting part of the DPT program?
The University of Lynchburg DPT program and facility are excellent. The most exciting thing though is being a part of a class that is very supportive of each other as well as having supportive professors. My classmates are my second family, we are there for each other when in need. I feel that the stars were aligned when our cohort was selected.
What do you hope to do with your degree?
Help a patient population that I am passionate about and eventually start a clinic.
What are some of your hobbies?
Soccer, art, gaming, zombie mode, and playing with my dog.
What is your favorite quote?
Safety first, then teamwork.
