The University of Lynchburg study abroad exchange program gives you the opportunity to enroll in classes at one of the University’s sister schools. You’ll earn transfer credits for the classes you take if you receive a letter grade of “C” or better.
External financial aid is not available for these programs, as the student is not registered at the University of Lynchburg, but rather at the exchange institution.
You will pay your tuition directly to the University of Lynchburg. It is your responsibility to cover your international airfare and living costs while abroad — room and board and personal expenses.
If you are interested, schedule an appointment with our office to begin the application process.
Fachhochschule Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH-V)
Dornbirn, Austria
Students enrolled in Lynchburg’s College of Business have the opportunity to spend the fall semester at the College’s sister school in Austria.
The coursework, conducted in English and taught by a global team of faculty, focuses on international business and management. You’ll take classes with Austrian and international students. The university also offers a German language course. There is a residence hall for international students.
“We have many different professors from different parts of the world teaching our classes, which gives us different world perspectives we wouldn’t get otherwise. There are 60 international students here this semester, not including the local Austrian students, and we all work very closely together in groups on a regular basis, and they, too, bring many different perspectives to the table.” – Austin Jones ’10 (Management)

Hannam University
Daejeon, South Korea
Hannam University’s Center for International Relations (CIR) offers University of Lynchburg students the opportunity to study in South Korea for a full semester.
Courses at the University’s Linton Global College are taught in English, though students are encouraged to enroll in a Korean language class during their studies at Hannam.
Lynchburg students may also spend part of the summer exploring a new culture and way of life by attending Hannam University’s Korean Studies Summer Program (KSSP). Students enroll in a 3-credit course focusing on Korean language and culture. During the KSSP, students will take part in cultural activities and excursions with their Korean “buddies” — an excellent way to experience Korean culture and make lifelong friends.
Students enrolled in the KSSP do not have to pay tuition to the University of Lynchburg, but are expected to cover their international airfare and personal expenses while in South Korea.
For more information, please visit the Hannam University website.
