University of Lynchburg does not offer any courses or programs specific to students with disabilities, however we offer a wide range of academic support services for all students. The small class environment, close-knit community and abundance of resources provide students with a strong support system for personal and academic achievement. We encourage students to use these various resources proactively rather than reactively for the best outcome.
The Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources (CADR) offers students with disabilities academic support through Learning Strategies Mentoring (LSM). The focus of this mentoring program is transition and executive function (time management, organization, planning, etc.). Students scheduled for LSM meet with CADR staff weekly for one semester and thereafter on an as-needed basis. While spaces are generally reserved for students who are new to the University (first-year and transfer), CADR works with all students with disabilities as appointments are available.
