Lynchburg College is seeking a resourceful individual with superior interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills for the position of Associate Director of Alumni Relations in the Office of Advancement.
The successful candidate will manage events and volunteers. The individual will build and manage a volunteer program including recruiting, training, supervising and evaluating new volunteers to increase engagement. The individual will manage off-campus alumni events and on-campus alumni events, in particular Homecoming and Westover Alumni Weekend. Individual will be expected to regularly attend events at the college and off-campus. Job requires managing multiple priorities. Some evening hours and travel required.
Bachelor’s degree required, 2 plus years of experience in higher education or event planning, volunteer management, and preference to those with Raiser’s Edge database experience. The individual must be able to work independently and as a supporting team member in a deadline-driven environment and must be able to plan and implement multiple projects simultaneously. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
