Lynchburg College (becoming the University of Lynchburg on July 1, 2018) is a private, independent, residential college located on 250 beautiful acres in central Virginia. The Office of Enrollment Services is seeking applicants for an Admissions Counselor to join a very successful admission team. The Admissions Counselor position is full-time, entry level position and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of the admissions counselor include: plan, manage and execute recruitment strategies within a designated geographical market; work requires extensive travel and extended work hours; conduct interviews and counsel families through the application and enrollment process; participate in admissions decision making and review of admission applications.
The successful candidate must be goal oriented to achieve expected results. Candidates must also have familiar use of computer software applications, execute an average of 9 weeks of recruitment travel during the fall semester, have excellent presentation/communication skills, positive interpersonal skills, work independently and as a team member. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required.
