Lynchburg College is accepting applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in U.S. History to begin August 2018. Candidates should be able to teach the World Civilization survey course, as well as undergraduate courses in U.S. history to 1877 and American Social History. Some background in the history of American material culture and/or Early American/Atlantic World history would be advantageous. A PhD is required, and prior teaching experience is preferred. Candidate must pass a background check that is satisfactory to the college.
