Lynchburg College invites applications for a tenure-track open rank position in Spanish with an area of specialization in Latin American literature or cultural studies. The successful candidate will be committed to excellent liberal arts teaching and dedicated to teaching a range of undergraduate Spanish courses from beginning to advanced.
We seek a collaborative colleague who is committed to outstanding teaching in a culture-focused program. Willingness to lead study abroad programs is a plus. Innovative approaches to teaching language, literature, and culture are also highly valued. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. Must have PhD in hand by beginning of appointment on July 1, 2018. Candidate must complete a criminal background check that is satisfactory to the College.
