An update on the University of Lynchburg presidential search, sent on behalf of Search Committee Co-Chairs Dr. Kathryn Pumphrey and Dr. Walker Sydnor:
Dear Members of the University Community,
With the opening of the new academic year, we wanted to give you brief update on the presidential search.
Our search partner, WittKieffer, has been hard at work soliciting nominations, collecting resumes, and talking with prospective candidates. As the search is confidential and members of the search committee have signed confidentiality agreements, we cannot discuss prospects or candidates. Still, we are very encouraged by the number and quality of the individuals who have expressed interest in leading the University of Lynchburg.
Detailed information on the search may be found on the Presidential Search Web Page.
Here is a brief timeline of the search:
First Organizational meeting of the search committee where we discussed the charge of the committee, our confidentiality agreement, the search process, questions for our on-line survey, and characteristics and qualities for a new president
