The University of Lynchburg invites applications for a STEM Teacher Pathway Coordinator position. This part-time, benefits-eligible, 5-year, grant-funded position will report to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and will assist with initiatives pertaining to the University’s new National Science Foundation Robert Noyce STEM Teachers Scholarship Program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: coordinating program promotion, recruiting, and activities; serving as liaison with campus offices and program partners; advising students; tracking project metrics; preparing reports; and other administrative tasks as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree and three years of related work experience, along with the ability to clearly communicate with students, faculty and program partners, are required. The successful candidate must be goal-oriented, work independently and within a team environment, have strong organizational skills, and be proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office and database management. Experience with grant projects and higher education and/or STEM education is highly preferred. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
