The University of Lynchburg has an immediate opening for a seasoned, energetic and results-oriented Director of Annual Giving. This position plans and directs a comprehensive annual giving program which cultivates and solicits unrestricted and restricted support for the University of Lynchburg and its students. The qualified candidate will develop program goals and implementation for The Lynchburg Fund, The Hive, Reunion Class Giving and Parents Programs fundraising, as well as other annual fundraising efforts from across campus.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three to five years of experience in higher education fundraising or in a related field with experience in sales; strong organizational skills along with qualities of initiative and leadership; an ability to work effectively with both internal and external constituencies; experience in direct mail, phonathon fundraising, digital fundraising and management of volunteers.
A bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check. Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience. Review of resumes will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
