The University of Lynchburg seeks an Associate Director of Transfer and Adult Recruitment to join our successful enrollment team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for recruiting transfer and adult students and the full implementation of the Transfer Recruitment Plan (which includes, for example, integrated communications, organization of on-and-off campus events, building relationships with community colleges and data analysis and management).
Direct recruitment responsibilities include interaction with students, parents and school professionals through travel, campus visits, phone, email and appropriate social media. Weekly activities include, but are not limited to: evaluating admissions applications and making recommendations on admission decisions, and supervising one or two student employees. Travel both in-state and out-of-state and some weekend and evening assignments are required.
The successful candidate must be goal oriented, have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; work independently and within a team environment and with colleagues campus-wide as this professional will serve on a Transfer Task Force and other committees related to transfer and adult students. All successful candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license. Admissions experience is required. The candidate must be able to successfully pass a background investigation. Start date is June 1, 2019.
