The University of Lynchburg invites applications for a visiting (one-year) regular part-time non-tenure track position in Sociology beginning Fall 2019. The successful candidate will teach a 3-3 load and be benefits eligible. We seek an individual with the ability to teach deviance, urban sociology, and introduction to sociology. Special consideration will be given to those individuals who can teach courses in the area of Human Services.
Applicants should have a PhD in Sociology, though ABDs will be considered. A strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts environment is essential. Appointment contingent upon completion of a background check that is satisfactory to the University.
