We invite applications for a full time, non-tenure track position in Reading and Curriculum and Instruction beginning fall 2018. Teaching responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of reading and teacher preparation; which may include online instruction. Additional responsibilities include advising, school and campus-wide committee assignments, scholarly activity, service to the community, and occasionally teaching courses connected to the Westover Scholars Program. With program growth, the position may become tenure-track.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Reading or with a Reading Concentration. Must be a licensed Reading Specialist. Teaching experience in a k-12 classroom and online teaching experience are preferable. University of Lynchburg is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University.
