The University of Lynchburg is accepting applications for a part-time Program Coordinator in the Office of Multicultural Services. This position provides programming support to projects implemented throughout the year that directly enhances the diverse experiences of our students, parents, families, alumni, faculty and staff while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality. The typical work schedule is 20 hours per week with evening and weekend work required to meet programming needs.
An optimal candidate must have excellent oral, written, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills. Effective computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet creation and management, are required. Proficiency in Google Suite and related computer applications is preferred. An optimal candidate must have demonstrated success working in an office setting, handling multiple priorities, accuracy, and attention to detail, as well as a proven history of reliability. An optimal candidate must be courteous, people-oriented, and able to work effectively with others. Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, as well as demonstrated initiative in projection coordination and completion or event planning experience is required.
The work setting in an active office environment with frequent interruptions and interactions with others. Timely, efficient, and accurate completion of time-sensitive tasks is required daily. Frequent standing and walking required. Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in an appropriate field is preferred. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
