The Office of the Dean of Students at the University of Lynchburg invites applications for a regular part-time case manager and wellness educator position. This position serves during the 10-month academic calendar (August-May) and includes a competitive benefits package.
This position will provide case management oversight for students when health, safety and/or well-being concerns are identified. This position is also responsible for providing assistance regarding wellness education within the University environment.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Formulating action plans and providing support services to students in need
- Chairing weekly Campus Awareness Response and Education Team meetings
- Collecting, evaluating, recording and analyzing data pertaining to students of concern
- Collaborating with the wellness coordinator to educate campus regarding wellness initiatives
- Facilitating bystander intervention training program to members of campus community
Bachelor’s degree in fields relating to Higher Education, Social Services, Counseling, Health Promotion and/or wellness. Experience working with students is desired. Strong interpersonal skills, facilitation/presentation skills, and strong organizational skills are required.
Preference will be given to those with a master’s degree and experience in a higher education setting (including but not limited to: student affairs, health, social services or mental health services).
