The University of Lynchburg seeks a professional to join a successful enrollment team. The Assistant Director Position is a full-time assignment. Ideally, the successful candidate will have two to three years of experience in admissions, make contributions to our admissions operation based upon prior experience, be goal driven, and demonstrated performance in territory management, recruiting of diverse populations, and the use of research based analysis of market developments. Responsibilities will include: plan, manage and execute recruitment strategies within a designated student market; meet with prospective students and families during campus visits, include utilization of alumni, students, and parents in recruitment activities; admissions application review and decision making in the admissions process. Guide students through the matriculation process.
The successful candidate should be comfortable with computer software applications. Fall and spring travel, excellent presentation/communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and support a team effort is critical. Some evening and weekend work is required. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required.
