The University of Lynchburg is accepting applications for a full-time administrative assistant for the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs – Dean of Graduate, Global, and Professional Studies. Normal work hours are 37.50 hours per week. In addition to providing administrative functions and support for the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs – Dean of Graduate, Global, and Professional Studies, this position attends meetings as requested by the Dean, and mentors and assigns work for graduate assistants assigned to Graduate, Global, and Professional Studies.
Position requires administrative assistant experience and strong organizational and communication skills, as well as proficiency in the use of personal computers and database management systems. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, event planning, budgeting, and maintaining web pages. Must be a self-starter, committed to accurate work, and capable of handling multiple priorities. Post-high school education in business or secretarial-related fields and up-to-date computer skills are preferred. Candidates must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University.
