The University of Lynchburg, a private, regional university in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, invites applications for an adjunct instructor in American Sign Language for the 2022-23 academic year for the School of Humanities.
Specific job duties:
- Teaching courses in ASL 101 and ASL 102 (3-6 credit hours per semester).
Required qualifications/education:
- Candidates must have a master’s degree in the field of American Sign Language & Interpreter Education (ASL&IE), or a master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the discipline, and possess demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching and the ability to work with a diverse student body.
- ASLTA certification, Advanced or Superior Level on SLPI:ASL or similar proficiency assessment preferred.
