Every volunteer is needed and appreciated. Our most critical need is for those who can sew. If you don’t sew, we still need help with collecting, preparing, and packaging fabric/supplies for shipping and distribution. We’ll also need volunteers later this summer to collect and track incoming shipments of completed masks. This is an opportunity to make a difference, and to come together to celebrate all that makes our Lynchburg family special.
Please let us know on the form how many masks you anticipate you’ll be making and try to send them back to us by August 1. If requested, we will reimburse you for shipping costs. On the form, you can indicate whether you need fabric, would like to be reimbursed for supplies, etc.
We will meet in the West Room from 3 to 7 p.m. on June 11 and from 3 to 7 p.m. on June 24 and 25 to cut fabric and ship supplies. This is also the location where we will collect completed masks and “quarantine” and sanitize them before they are distributed to students, faculty, and staff in August.
Thanks for your support! You can make a donation to the Lynchburg Crisis Response Fund, which supports this project and other efforts that will help us to get campus up and running safely for Fall 2020, here.
