We’re planning for a safe reopening this fall, but to do that, we’ll all need masks. Lots of them. Our expert tailors, President-elect Alison Morrison-Shetlar and Dr. Price Blair, have both been making masks for weeks, but they can’t sew enough for the entire University of Lynchburg community. That’s where YOU come in.
We need volunteers who can sew masks, cut fabric, distribute fabric, or donate money to buy fabric.
Let us know how you can help by filling out this short form.
Thanks for your support! You can also join our Facebook group “Sewcial Hornets” to connect with our other “voluntailors.”
While we will supply you with fabric or reimburse you for your purchase, please note that most JOANN fabric stores are offering FREE “Take & Make” bags that include materials and directions for up to 10 masks. Kits are limited to one per customer. To find a location close to you and ensure that your local store is participating, visit the JOANN website. Please reach out to your local store for product availability, as some stores may not have inventory of all mask components.
