Accessible Seating and Parking
An accessible seating section will be available by reservation for guests with disabilities or mobility restrictions. Families may reserve up to three seats together in this section through Thursday, May 7th, 2020. Accessible restroom facilities will be available nearby.
Parking for guests with disabilities or mobility limitations is available on a limited basis in the parking lot west of Turner Gymnasium. Drop off is also available in this area. Elevator access to the third floor of Turner is available only from this side of the building.
Please enter campus through the main entrance on Lakeside Drive and turn right on Westover Drive for accessible parking and drop-offs. Follow signage and the guidance of security personnel. Vehicles with appropriate designation (handicapped license plates, placard or University of Lynchburg Commencement Parking Pass) will be directed to the parking and drop-off area until 5:45 p.m.
The gymnasium opens at 5:00 p.m. Families are advised to arrive early to avoid heavy traffic and to secure accessible parking and seating. Once this parking is filled, individuals will be directed to other parking lots.
Live Stream
Commencement will be available online at www.lynchburg.edu, and will also be live-streamed to large screens in the following air conditioned, accessible facilities on campus:
- Sydnor Performance Hall, Schewel Hall
- Hopwood Auditorium, Hopwood Hall
The video stream will include captions.
American Sign Language
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be provided at Baccalaureate and Commencement.

Undergraduate Commencement
To help us best serve you, please let us know about accommodations you may need to attend Undergraduate Commencement on May 16th, 2020. Please complete this form by Friday, May 8th, 2020 to reserve seating and ensure we can meet your needs.
Accessible Seating and Parking
An accessible seating section will be available by reservation for guests with disabilities or mobility restrictions. Families may reserve up to six seats together in this section through Friday, May 8th, 2020. Accessible restroom facilities will be available nearby.
Parking for guests with disabilities or mobility limitations is available on a limited basis near Carnegie Hall, Hopwood Hall, and the Psychology building. These parking spots are located near the designated accessible seating area. Drop off is also available between Dillard and Hopwood Hall at the Dillard Circle. Please enter through the main entrance on Lakeside Drive for accessible parking and drop-offs. Look for signage, security personnel and student volunteers available for guidance. Vehicles with appropriate designation (handicapped license plates, placard or University of Lynchburg Commencement Parking Passes) will be directed to a drop-off area until 8:30 a.m.
Please arrive early to avoid heavy traffic and to secure accessible parking and seating. Once this parking is filled, individuals will be directed to other parking lots.
