Dr. Nancy Hubbard, dean of the College of Business, will present “Me, Inc. — Managing the Business of You” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Hall Campus Center’s Memorial Ballroom.
“It’s about brand, core competencies, and your board of directors,” Hubbard said. “To get people to step back and take an objective look at themselves, using some business concepts, and say, ‘How can I manage the business of me as well as I can, to the best of my ability?’
“It’s all about understanding what you’re truly good at and what you truly enjoy doing, because there’s no point in doing something that you hate doing.”
Hubbard’s lecture, which she describes as “light-hearted but informative,” is free and open to the public. Due to COVID-19, however, seating is limited and must be reserved by Friday, Oct. 16. To reserve a seat, please email martin.w@lynchburg.edu. The event also will be livestreamed on YouTube.
The lecture is part of the University Lecture series, which features scholars and experts from the University of Lynchburg.
