Hope Johnson ’15, a recent LC graduate who scored more than 300 strikeouts in her career on the Hornets Softball team, recently wrote an article for the Tincher Pitching blog about the benefits of Division III athletics.
Looking back on her college career, she wrote that LC gave her the opportunity to make the best of being a student and an athlete. “We get to have our cake and eat it too by getting an excellent education while playing the game we love,” she remarked.
She also wrote about her decision to attend LC after falling in love with the campus. “I knew, without a doubt, it was it for me,” she wrote. “…Some would say fate, but I would call it love.”
