Students react and reflect
“I am so glad to have had the opportunity to represent University of Lynchburg and win such a prestigious award. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have Ursula Bryant as my professor and advisor, without her guidance, none of this would have been possible!” — David Dale
“Though University of Lynchburg is a small school we got to show how big of an impact we still make.” — Trey Crockett
“Here at LC, the class sizes are nice and small, so only a few people see the work we all do, but it was a great feeling that people on a professional level saw and believed our work was worthy of receiving awards.” — Molly Keesling
“My entry that won a silver ADDY award was a magazine advertisement for my brand WAISG, which stands for “Why Am I So Good.” This piece was created to encourage people to get fit by using a motivational image and an inspirational quote, thus convincing them to purchase this brand’s workout clothing.” — Betsy Stipa
“Catalyst has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable projects I’ve done so far. Since the idea is to feel refreshed and energized, I’ve really been able to incorporate colors and movement into the designs.” — Meg Thurman
“Mrs. Joy’s Absolutely Fabulous Treats is supposed to represent good, old-fashioned treats made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. I believe that the logo I designed fits well with that theme through the use of geometric shape, simple imagery, and vintage typography.” — Tarsha Joyner
“As it was told to me, the ADDYs are the Oscars for designers. It definitely felt like it! It was exciting to be able to see our work displayed, knowing there are professionals in the room, and everyone is seeing your work. It makes it all the more exciting to graduate and move on to a career.” — Jennifer Watlington
