Hornet Baseball Ranks Second in NCAA Division III in Fielding Percentage

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College baseball team was recently honored as posting the second-best fielding percentage in NCAA Division III for the 2007 season.

The Hornets made just 42 errors in 1470 chances for a .970 fielding percentage. For comparison, LC opponents committed 88 errors for a .943 fielding percentage in the 41 contests.

Lynchburg finished the season with a 23-18 record, the program’s seventh-straight 20-win season under head coach Percy Abell.
