Lynchburg College will host a summer open house on Wednesday, July 18, to provide information on its new Certificate of Advanced Business Administration (CABA) program as well as graduate programs. The Graduate Studies open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall followed by the CABA open house from 6 to 7 p.m.

CABA is an 11-week course geared to the needs of skilled technical professionals, supervisors, and managers, who have little or no college education. The course is based on the principles of leadership, financial and risk management, human resource management, marketing, information technology, and quality management.

Lynchburg College’s graduate program offers course work leading to the M.Ed. and M.B.A. degrees and includes the recent additions of an M.A. in English and M.Ed. in Reading. Other M.Ed. degree concentrations include School and Community Counseling, Educational Leadership, Special Education, Science Education, and Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, several non-degree options are available, including a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) program designed to prepare teachers or related service providers to recognize, manage, and support individuals with ASD; coursework for teacher licensure including the LC Teach Program; counseling licensure; license renewal; and professional and personal enrichment. The M.B.A. offers a generic program in addition to two alternative concentration tracks in health services management and financial services.
