Send official transcripts from each college attended indicating all courses attempted. Concealing previous attendance at a post-secondary institution is considered an honor code violation and will result in the cancellation of your application and admission.

Send an official high school transcript or an official copy of GED results. Students with twenty-five or more college credit hours do not have to submit high school information unless requested to do so.

Submit official standardized test scores: SAT or ACT. Students with twenty-five or more college credit hours and students who graduated from high school two or more years ago are not required to submit these scores.

Optional - Submit a personal essay. Discuss your personal goals and reasons for wanting to attend Lynchburg College.

Transfer and Access Applicants

Transfer Students are traditional age students (24 years or younger) who have completed or are in the process of completing twelve or more college credits after graduating from high school. These students must be in good academic and social standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from all college courses attempted.

Access Students are students who are 25 years of age or older. These students must also be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from all college courses attempted.

Competitive applicants typically have completed college level coursework in mathematics (at or above the Algebra II level), English composition, history for western/world civilizations, and any additional general education subject areas. The admissions committee considers both the high school record and the college record in reviewing applicants. Strong candidates have consistent grades of A's, B's, and C's.

Nursing Transfer Students must apply by April 1. Additional requirements must be met.
