For immediate release – 6/25/2007 - #370 LC’s Kyle Bradley Earns First-Team All-State Honors
NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Lynchburg College’s Kyle Bradley (Brookneal, VA/William Campbell) was recently named to the 2007 Virginia All-State College Division Baseball first-team.
Virginia Wesleyan College’s Matt Hudgins earned the state Player of the Year Award, while Ferrum College mentor Abe Naff was named the Coach of the year. Andrew Chrismer of Bridgewater College was selected as the State Rookie of the Year.
Bradley, a first-team all-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection earlier this spring, led the team and was third in the conference with a .407 batting average. The sophomore second baseman posted a .487 on-base percentage (with 13 walks and was hit by 10 pitches) and tied for second on the squad with 35 runs. He started all 41 games and made just five errors.
