Three Lynchburg College student-athletes have been recognized on the 2007 Virginia State Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division All-State women’s lacrosse team
Rookie of the Year honors go to Lynchburg attack Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester). Ollice earned second team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors earlier this spring for the Hornets after scoring 49 points on 40 goals and nine assists.
Senior defender Nichole Johnson (Pasadena, MD/Northeast) and junior attack Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) each received second-team all-state accolades. Johnston recently earned second-team All-Chesapeake Region and first-team All-ODAC honors. She led the team with 29 caused turnovers and was second with 59 ground balls. Locher broke single-season school records in 2007 with 36 assists and 83 points, while also netting 47 goals en route to second-team all-conference honors.
