My primary interest is how writing instruction is informed by the teacher's being a writer. While many subscribe to this, there appears to be little opportunity for classroom teachers to actively practice their writing and receive feedback. I am running a study this year that will examine such an opportunity, Teacher as Writer, and review the benefits teachers see for their instruction.
