I am continuing my research concerning how to make mainstream foreign languages such as Spanish and French more accessible to students with physical and learning disabilities. I made significant progress with my studies of physical disabilities but have found that the variety of learning disabilities represented by our own students at Lynchburg College is more diverse and, therefore, challenging than I had previously predicted. My primary focus for the most immediately applicable results centers on easy to implement in-class instructional and procedural techniques to offer all students an equal chance to succeed in a foreign language environment.
