My primary research interest is how individuals process language. Specifically, I am interested in the differences in how language is processed across a first and second language, and the development of literacy skills in the native and second language for both children and adults. Currently I am examining the ability to process language when the input is not optimal. For example, how are individuals able to process language when information contained within a word is scrambled? Somheow we sitll are albe to comrpehned wrods even wehn tehy are not an excat macth to infomratoin stroed in our lexcion.
