Brittany Allsop Earns Academic All-American Accolades

Brittany AllsopLYNCHBURG, VA – Lynchburg College’s Brittany Allsop (Milford, CT/Johnathan Law) was recently named to the 2007 CoSIDA Academic All-American College Division Softball Team.

Allsop earned a slot on the third-team, a few weeks after taking home first-team All-District CoSIDA Honors. The sophomore center fielder led Lynchburg in triples and finished second on the team with a .390 batting average and 42 runs scored. She was a second-team All-ODAC honoree and was included on the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and All-Regional Tournament teams. Allsop has a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average, and majors in mathematics.
