For immediate release – 5/9/2007 - #349 Seven LC Players on All-ODAC Men’s Lax Squad SALEM, VA – Seven Lynchburg College student-athletes were recognized Wednesday with the release of the 2007 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men’s lacrosse team. Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield), Ryan Cranston (West Chester, PA/Henderson) and Brandon Fell (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) all earned first-team all-conference honors. Tolson, a sophomore attack, was second in the ODAC with 57 goals and third with 61 points. He scored four game-winning goals and had eight tallies with the man-up unit. Cranston, a junior midfielder, was second on the squad with 31 goals and 50 points (19 assists). He led the squad with nine scores with a man advantage. Fell, a senior defender, anchored a Lynchburg backline that allowed just 7.88 goals per game. He scooped 36 ground balls. Junior attackers Stephen Weis (St. Louis, MO/Christian Brothers) and Johnny Black (Timonium, MD/St. Paul’s) each earned a slot on the second team. Weis tied for second on the team with 50 points and led the Hornets with 28 assists, while Black posted 22 goals and added eight assists. Junior goalie Garrett Curran (Hull, MA/Tabor Academy) and Brian McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) each received an honorable mention to the All-ODAC team. ### |
