Hornet Track Competes at LU Twilight

 

            LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College outdoor track & field team competed Thursday at the Liberty University Twilight Qualifier.

 

            Junior Scott Decker (Clifton, VA/Robinson) improved on his NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the pole vault, clearing a personal best 15’6” to place fourth in the event. Ryan Holmes (Glen Allen, VA/J.R. Tucker) had a leap of 22' 1/4" in the long jump to take fifth, and J.J. Johnson (Lynchburg, VA/Amherst County) recorded times of 11.44 in the 100-meter dash and 16.13 in the 100-meter hurdles.

 

            Select Hornets will travel to Georgia Tech next Friday and Saturday.
