Tinklepaugh Earns CoSIDA Academic All-American Honors | For immediate release – 4/28/2007 - #340 LEXINGTON, VA - The 12th-ranked Lynchburg College men’s lacrosse team had three players post hat tricks Saturday and defeated Washington & Lee University 12-3 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match-up. Junior Ryan Cranston (West Chester, PA/Henderson) and senior Brian McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) each scored three goals with an assist and sophomore Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) also found the back of the net three times. Johnny Black (Timonium, MD/St. Paul’s) scored twice, while Stephen Weis (St. Louis, MO/Christian Brothers) tallied a goal and three assists and Kyle McGuire (Burke, VA/Robinson) and Michael Mundorf (Catonsville, MD/Mt. Saint Joseph) each had two assists. Keeper Garrett Curran (Hull, MA/Tabor Academy) made 18 saves. Harry St. John had a goal and a helper for W&L (9-5/4-2 ODAC) while Ned Rider and Charlie Clark each scored once. Chris Lalli made 15 stops in net. The Hornets (12-3/4-2 ODAC) will travel to Hampden-Sydney College on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the opening round of the ODAC Championship Tournament. The Hornets enter the four-team, single elimination bracket as the #3 seed and H-SC will be the #2 seed. Top-seeded Roanoke will host #4 W&L in the other half of the draw for the right to advance to the title game this weekend. ###
