Hornet Jay Duimstra Earns All-ODAC Men’s Tennis honors

Jay DuimstraSALEM, VA – Lynchburg College junior Jay Duimstra (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) was named a second-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) performer as the conference office released its 2007 men’s tennis award winners Wednesday.

Hampden-Sydney College’s William Moss took home both the Player of the Year and the Freshman of the Year Awards. David Detwiler of Washington & Lee University was named the Coach of the Year and Marlin Eric Caudill was voted the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Duimstra posted an 11-7 singles record while playing mainly at #3 (4-2) and #4 (5-2). He won seven doubles matches while teaming with five different partners throughout the season.
