FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Lynchburg College baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader at Methodist college Sunday afternoon, dropping game one 7-4 but capturing the second 8-1.

Ronnie LaBrie (Vinton, VA/Staunton River) had a home run and two RBI for LC in game one and Justin Kelly (Colonial Heights, VA/Colonial Heights) went 2-3.

Sophomore Sean Campbell (White Plains, NY/White Plains) earned his first victory of the season in the nightcap, allowing just two hits and one run in five frames. LaBrie went 2-3 with two RBI, while Kyle Bradley (Brookneal, VA/William Campbell) and Cameron Grant (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) were each 2-4 with two runs scored. Jonathan Sewell (Charlottesville, VA/St. Anne’s Belfield) was 2-3 with a run and an RBI.

The Hornets (21-16) will compete in the six-team, double elimination ODAC Tournament at Lynchburg’s City Stadium this Thursday through Sunday.
